We post advertisements for employers. Interested

then request contact information for that employer. Students are
responsible for contacting the employer in the manner the employer specified
and arranging for an interview.
Do you prescreen students interested in applying?

order to use our services. Students are responsible for reviewing the
referral information and determining whether or not they are qualified or
eligible for the position.

What is work-study? How
do I qualify?
Work-study is a type of financial aid disbursement in
which students have the opportunity to work for certain employers in return
for financial aid for school. Not all students are eligible for work
study, eligibility is determined by type of financial aid awarded.
Contact the Financial Aid Department to learn more.

What kinds of jobs do you have?
We have a wide variety of job opportunities for every
student. We have entry-level, professional level, skilled, unskilled,
temporary, permanent, part-time, full-time, and internship opportunities.
Our job categories include accounting, clerical, customer service, health,
legal, computer, sales and marketing, education, child development, food
service and many more!

Do you have advertisements for on-campus jobs?
Sometimes we do. You can find on-campus listings
on the job posting board outside the workforce center or in binders inside our office. However, since departments are
not required to advertise with us, there are many unadvertised opportunities
out there. We recommend that students directly contact the department
of interest and inquire about student hourly positions. If you are
interested in working on campus you should begin your search early and check
back frequently, since these positions are in very high demand.

Do I really need a cover letter?
Yes you do! A cover letter is your professional
introduction to the company you are applying to. Often the cover
letter is the difference between your resume landing on the right desk or
landing in the trash can. The letter should contain information not
listed on your resume about why you are a good candidate for the position.
Cover letters should be addressed to the appropriate individual whenever
possible. Learn more about cover letters
on-line!

your class printout and ask the lab tech. You will receive access to
the computers on campus as well as an email address.
